I always find that Japanese writer have the different perspective of essence and style that make their work set apart from western culture. The tone and small details contribute to the realistic. Each page of the script have its own reason and purpose with melo tone of delivering the subliminal message the close attention to detail. Miyazaki the writer and director of this animation has a great vision in storytelling which in a way often reflects the belief in the essence of life of the asian culture. This attention to detail is a great element used as a useful tool for developing characters. Chihiro the main character is supposed to be a typical ten-year-old, so she behaves as such, however after she faced the unexpected life journey she does became more mature with extra care. These change are mostly come from the action which are interpreted from the dialogues. From my point of view which I born and raised in asian culture, the subtext in the animation are easily for me to get and understand the core of what its delivers. Chihiro often shows flawed in which a powerful and emotional way along her journey to rescues her parents. Which lead to the changes in character arc meaning Chihiro have well developed over the time and show different ideologies toward the world. Subplot has contributed to the climax and resolve the main conflict of the story, as well as forming up the tone in a unique way. Therefore, the story show a great hook to grab audiences attention within a use of fresh and unique sentimental tone. The animation have a succinct theme and scene that contribute to the action.
